Room and Audio/Visual Arrangements
Room Arrangement Please set the ideal room arrangement for classroom style with audience seated at tables facing the front. If the room does not accommodate tables, theater style is acceptable. This creates a sense of togetherness and allows for an exciting program. Round tables are the least desirable. If the attendance is scheduled for more than 100, Marsha prefers to be elevated above the floor level commensurate to room size. She will need a four (4) foot table up front for materials.
Audio Visual Requirements Unless prior arrangements have been made, Marsha will integrate a multimedia presentation into her program, and requires the following to assure a great success for your organization. The room needs to be fully lit to maintain a high energy level by the audience.
- Microphone - Marsha prefers a cordless lavaliere microphone with a corded hand held microphone readily available as a back up if more than 30 people are in attendance. Marsha's mic should not also be the one used to introduce her.
- Video - A video screen will need to be positioned in the front corner of the room which should be the corner where there are no entry doors. The screen should be high enough and large enough to be seen by all. Care should be taken to assure that no direct light is on the screen. Marsha will need a video/data projector to interface with her laptop computer. The projector should be able to show 600 lumens or more and bright enough to be seen on the screen without dimming the room lights. The projector should be positioned on an A/V cart aimed at the screen, and have an electrified power strip running to it.
- Audio - Please provide a patch cord from the AV cart to the house sound system (or mixing board) wired with a mini plug adapter so that the entire audience may hear clear sound from Marsha's laptop.
Handouts/Worksheets/Workbooks If appropriate, Marsha will send ahead a master to be duplicated for all program participants. Please distribute these to audience just before Marsha's program is introduced.
